[SN 800295] USED Washburn / Wing Series HAWK Custom tobacco sunburst Washburn [4.04kg / 1980] [08]

This is a Washburn Wing Series Hawk Custom, a Japanese model that was produced from the 1970s to the 1980s.

This archtop spec Hawk was developed in the Eagle, Falcon, Hawk, and Raven grades. Special specifications include “CUSTOM” on the rod cover, a special pickguard is included and a name sticker (removed) can be seen on the back plate. It has maple/rosewood through-neck construction, ash body wings, rose fingerboard, Harmonic Lock bridge, 2-cob type pegs, and 2Vol/2Tone/3Way selector.

There is no description of the PU and the model number is unknown. The rear pickup may be non-original as there are some soldering marks. The nut and knob may have been changed as well.

There are some signs of use (color fading, scratches around the body, scuffs and scratches, picking marks, buckle marks, scratch marks, metal parts and screws are cloudy, pits, rust, etc.).

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, alignment, sticker removal, and wiring modification) upon arrival, and the fret board is low enough to play with alignment, and the truss rod can be tightened or loosened up to 60. (The truss rod can be tightened and loosened up to 60 degrees.
